Examination Fee Increase for USMLE Step 1 and Step 2 Clinical Knowledge (CK)
Effective January 1, 2009, the examination fees for those applying to ECFMG for USMLE Step 1 and Step 2 Clinical Knowledge (CK) will increase from $695 to $710 for each exam registration. The new fee will be assessed for all Step 1/Step 2 CK applications submitted to ECFMG on or after January 1, 2009.
This fee increase applies only to the examination fees for Step 1 and Step 2 CK. The Step 1/Step 2 CK international test delivery surcharges for applicants who choose a testing region other than the United States/Canada will not increase at this time. Additionally, the examination fee for Step 2 Clinical Skills (CS) will remain $1,200.
