ECFMG’s Payment Policy to Change
As published in August 2005 in the ECFMG 2006 Information Booklet, changes will be made to ECFMG’s payment policy. These changes will affect how funds submitted by applicants are applied to their financial accounts and when applicants’ accounts are charged for services they request. These changes, which will take effect by the end of this week, are outlined below.
1. Payments made with an exam application or other request for service will be reserved for that application/request and will not be available to cover fees for other applications/requests. This applies to payments made with both on-line and paper applications/requests.
2. An applicant’s financial account will be charged for requested services when the application or request is received, not when processing is completed. If an application/request is rejected, the payment made with the rejected application/request will be returned to the applicant’s financial account as a credit and will be available to cover fees for future services.
3. Payments will be reflected in OASIS as soon as they are processed.
If the processing of an application/request is not complete when these changes take effect, the payment made with that application will be subject to the new policies described above.
For Complete Information
Other aspects of ECFMG’s payment policy will remain unchanged. For complete information on ECFMG’s current payment policy, refer to Payment in the ECFMG Information Booklet.
