ECFMG Introduces its On-line Information Service (OASIS)

As part of its continuing commitment to enhanced service for international medical graduates, ECFMG is pleased to introduce the On-line Applicant Status and Information System (OASIS). OASIS is a new, web-based information service for ECFMG applicants and ECFMG certified physicians that is accessible via the ECFMG website at www.ecfmg.org.

If you are an applicant for ECFMG certification, you can use OASIS to check the status of your USMLE™ / CSA applications and score reports, USMLE scheduling permits, TOEFL score acceptance and medical education credentials. If you have already met the requirements for ECFMG certification, you can use OASIS to check the status of your ECFMG Certificate or your request for permanent validation of your Certificate. Information on the status of USMLE transcript requests and revalidation of the English Test and CSA valid through dates is also available through OASIS. All users can verify general information, such as their name of record, contact information and the status of their ECFMG financial accounts.

ECFMG developed OASIS to provide easy, convenient access to current information. OASIS is available 24 hours / day, 7 days / week and is offered free of charge. Access is limited to individuals with a USMLE/ECFMG Identification Number who are successfully authenticated through a password-protected security system.

To obtain more information and a password for this service, visit the ECFMG website at www.ecfmg.org.

Deadline for Taking CSA to Participate in 2002 Match

The National Resident Matching Program (NRMP) requires that all international medical graduates who wish to participate in the 2002 Match have all required ECFMG examination scores reported to the NRMP by the NRMP Rank Order List (ROL) deadline in February 2002.

There are a limited number of CSA testing slots in the months preceding January 31, 2002. If you wish to participate in the 2002 Match, you are strongly encouraged to apply for CSA as soon as you become eligible and to schedule your CSA test session as soon as possible.

For more information on NRMP requirements and deadlines, visit the NRMP website at www.nrmp.org.
