Credentials Verification Reports
EICS Credentials Verification Reports provide detailed information on a physician's medical credentials and verification status to the medical registration board. EICS reports are printed on watermarked security paper and sent via courier service to the medical registration board. EICS does not release reports or verification information to third parties.EICS may issue up to three types of reports during processing of a physician's medical credentials.
- Final EICS Credential Verification Report -The final report includes information on all medical credentials and verifications received and processed by EICS. Copies of all credentials and verifications are included with the report. The final report is issued upon receipt and processing by EICS of verification of all credentials. EICS notifies the physician when the final report has been issued to the medical registration board. In the event all verifications have not been received by EICS within 4 months (approximately 120 days) of the date the application was processed, EICS will still issue a final report to the medical registration board. EICS will also contact institutions that have not yet responded to EICS to request completion of outstanding verifications. EICS continues to seek verification of medical credentials even after issuance of the final report.
- Interim EICS Credential Verification Report - The interim report provides the medical registration board with the status of a physician's verification processing. The interim report includes information on all credentials sent for verification, all verifications received and processed by EICS, and all outstanding verifications. Copies of all credentials and received verifications are included with the report. EICS sends new verification requests to institutions that have not yet responded to EICS. The interim report is issued 2 months (approximately 60 days) after initial mailing of EICS verification requests to issuing institutions, if a final EICS Credential Verification Report has not been issued. EICS notifies the physician when the interim report has been issued and what credential verifications are outstanding.
- Addendum EICS Credential Verification Report - The addendum report provides the medical registration board with information on a medical credential verification that has been received and processed by EICS after issuance of the Final EICS Credential Verification Report. Copies of the credential and verification are included with the report. EICS notifies the physician when an addendum report has been issued to the medical registration board.
A sample EICS Credential Verification Report is provided when a medical registration board requests customized EICS application materials. A form for requesting customized EICS application materials is included with the Sample EICS Application Packet.
