The Interdisciplinary Health Care Team (IHCT) is intended as an introduction to the team approach to hospital-based medical care in the United States. The extent to which this team approach has been accepted and implemented and the composition of the health care team will vary from hospital to hospital and from one practice setting to another.
In an effort to provide the best information on the professionals that comprise the health care team, ECFMG solicited profiles from organizations in the United States with expertise relevant to the disciplines represented on the team. Most IHCT member profiles were contributed by representatives of these organizations. Refer to the Directory of Contributors. The information in these profiles has not been verified independently by ECFMG, and ECFMG does not endorse the information in these profiles.
